We're still celebrating Isabelle's birthday month! Today it's our last sketch share for JUNE. Since my birthday is in July - it's my favorite part of summer :) You can see the sketch and the projects from the other designers HERE.
LCOM78

This is sort of page two of my layout from sketch 76. You can view it HERE. For this page, I used some Studio Calico, Fancy Pants, and Pink Paislee  patterned papers. I used sequins and heart chipboard from Studio Calico. The flowers are very old Sassafras and the labels are Elle's Studio and Jillibean Soup. My black washi taps are Freckled Fawn and the pink/orange washi tape at the bottom is Studio Calico. Enamel dots are My Mind's Eye.

If you want to play along, here's how:
1. Make a newly created project using the provided sketch and upload it to your blog or online gallery.
2. Then leave a link to your project using the Inlinkz widget HERE. Please use a direct link to your LCOM Sketch post and not just your blog address.

darling gray faces|Scrap Much?!

It's sketchy Friday at ScrapMuch?! Here's this week's sketch from Scrap Much?!
Look at these brown boys with their gray faces. They're getting SO old! Chocolate just turned nine and Hunter will be 12 this month. Cannot believe it.

I love those dog wood veneers from Creative Embellishments. That vellum is by Crate Paper. The vellum, the tags, and the woodgrain cardstock are from the May Paper Bakery kit, along with the Thickers + Amy Tangerine rub ons. The enamel dots are Prima Sugar Dots and the little puffy camera stickers are really old from my stash of Amy Tangerine.

If you're playing along (and we hope you are!) here are the rules:

Just link up your creations HERE to be entered into a random draw for our monthly prize. You have until Sunday,  June 29th, at midnight to participate in any of June's sketch challenges, each linkup tool will remain open until that date!

If you are playing along with more than one challenge you will need to link each of them up via a separate blog post for the link up tool to work. (International participants may be required to pay some shipping fees.)  Good luck, we cannot wait to see what you create!

you light up my life [card].

This morning I had time to make a quick, simple card. I was inspired by THIS June challenge at Paper Wings Productions to use chipboard.

I got these industrial hanging light bulb chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments a few months ago with the intention of using them on a card with a play on words. I used some silver embossing powder from My Stamp Box and heat embossed the light bulb. I stamped my Unity Stamp Co sentiment with white Prima chalk ink. I tried an American Crafts white pigment ink, an American Crafts silver pigment ink, but this Prima one was the best white I had in my stash. I love the simplicity of this card.

4 [LCOM sketch 76].

This is Isabelle's birthday month so ALL of June we're sharing birthday related projects with our Let's Capture our Memories sketches. Today we're revealing sketch 76...
My page is in celebration of my 4th birthday - back in 1988. Yes, this year I'm turning 30!

These photos had been cut down (pre-Fiskars photo trimmer) from a previous old project so I decided to use these on my page. They were all cut different sizes and cut unevenly (remember: pre-photo trimmer) so I grouped them all together in a cluster. I thought that would make it harder to tell they're uneven and funky. The rest of the page is basically a bunch of clustering and layering. This was a fun sketch & I hope you'll join us!

I used patterned papers from my May Studio Calico kit [Camelot], along with the gold rub ons. The rest of the embellishments are from my stash. MME brads and enamel dots, Elle's Studio labels, Studio Calico Print Shop vellum stickers, and some cardstock stickers off of Echo Park sticker sheets. The heart washi is Glitz Design.

A $20 Gift Certificate to the Let's Capture Our Memories online store!

Easter 2014|Scrap Much?!

Time for our Friday sketch at Scrap Much?! My comfort zone tends to be two photos on a page so this sketch made me really happy :)

I used some of my Amy Tangerine 12x12 paper stack that I haven't used much of. I cut the sun and clouds out from patterned papers. My chipboard embellishments are Basic Grey, the enamel dots are Teresa Collins, and the ribbon is Pink Paislee. The wood veneer is from Creative Embellishments and the letter stickers are Sassafras. My little flair is from A Flair for Buttons Etsy shop. This came together really quickly!

We hope you'll join our sketchy Friday challenge by linking up HERE to be entered into a random draw for our monthly prize. You have until Sunday, June 29th, at midnight to participate in any of June's sketch challenges, each linkup tool will remain open until that date

garage sale finds May 31.

I only went to sales on Saturday this week but found a couple great things. There were two neighborhood sales going on so we mainly hit those. It was definitely starting to warm up outside by the time we were wrapping up around 11:30. Summer is here!
$10 | another shelf for my garage.

$10 | for my backyard.

sunshine makes me happy.

Loved this sketch and so I grabbed my May Paper Bakery kit and got to work. I added some stamping, wood veneer and cork pieces from Studio Calico, and enamel dots from twine + ink. The 'sunshine' stamp is from Unity and it's the first time I've used it. I lovelovelove this heart patterned paper by Amy Tan Plus One collection.

love this [LCOM 74].

Time for sketch 74 at Let's Capture our Memories! At the time I made this page, nurse's week was wrapping up. I get sentimental and think that there's NO way I could be out of college for seven years. NO way I could be a nurse for seven years. It blows my mind.

I found a little card that had been delivered with some flowers on my first nurse's week I celebrated with TJ back in May 2011. I was also able to find a photo I'd taken of the flowers on my old phone but the quality is not very good.

Here's our sketch this week:
Because my 2011 album is 8.5x11 size, I had to shrink this sketch down. I used two longer photos instead of three taller photos. I kept the same general placement of everything.
I used my May Studio Calico Camelot kit (patterned paper, vellum, gold Dear Lizzy rub ons, twine + ink puffy stickers). I added heart wood veneer by Freckled Fawn and wood nurse embellishments from Creative Embellishments. The chipboard stickers are Basic Grey highline from the April SC kits. From my stash, I grabbed some Glitz giant rhinestones and washi tape.

Our May prize is a $20 gift certificate to the LCOM online store! This is your last chance to join in the May fun. Here's how to join the challenge:
1. Make a newly created project using the provided sketch and upload it to your blog or online gallery.
2. Then leave a link to your project using the Inlinkz widget HERE. Please use a direct link to your LCOM Sketch post and not just your blog address.
3. If you upload to online galleries, please also use tag/keyword LCOM74. LCOM products are NOT required to participate, and you can enter as many times as you want. If you don't have a particular shape indicated in the sketch, feel free to substitute.
4. There is no time limit - you can always play any week at any time, but the linking form will close on the last day of the month at 8:00pm (Atlantic Standard Time) to allow us to find a prize winner.

here we go.

I had some free time tonight to scrap for fun. I wanted to play with my new May Paper Bakery kit I received as a prize for winning their sketch #24. They now have sketch #26 posted so I chose to use it for my inspiration tonight.
From my stash I added wood veneer from Creative Embellishments, Sassafras letter stickers, sequins & chipboard from Studio Calico, stamps from Studio Calico & Unity Stamp Co, & chipboard from  Basic Grey (April Studio Calico kits).

This is an iphone photo of the nephews in PCB on spring break in April. It was our last day & the youngest was SO excited to do the banana boat rides. The older ones had to be talked into it:)

hello card.

Tonight I've made a quick card using some of my May Paper Bakery kit I received as a prize. My card was inspired by card sketch #26 at Sketch n Scrap + THIS challenge to use bling.

together|ScrapMuch?!

Today we're revealing another ScrapMuch?! sketch! This was a great one, really easy to interpret. I stuck pretty closely to the sketch.

I used a lot of items from my stash on this one. An Amy Tangerine 12x12 paper pad that I've barely touched. I added the Dear Lizzy banners. The 'together' cork came from April Studio Calico's kits and the cork houses are Freckled Fawn. The enamel dots and washi are also from SC kits. The vellum is from May's Studio Calico Camelot kit.

We hope you'll play along with us by linking up your creations in our sidebar HERE to be entered into a random draw for our monthly prize.    You have until Thursday,  May 29 29th, at midnight to participate in any of May's sketch challenges, each linkup tool will remain open until that date!  If you are playing along with more than one challenge you will need to link each of them up via a separate blog post for the link up tool to work. (International participants may be required to pay some shipping fees.)  Good luck!
