bride and groom.
I'm playing along with the June 1 sketch at Let's Get Sketchy - but I rotated it so that my page elements are vertical instead of horizontal.
Here's my page:
My friend got married last October and her photographer posted some amazing pictures on Facebook so I stole one to scrapbook :)
supplies
cardstock: Bazzill (Berry Blush)
mist: Studio Calico Mr Huey's (Hey Diddle Diddle)
patterned paper, die cuts, stickers: Echo Park (Wedding Bliss)

2017.
I've had this black & white photo of my cousins graduation for a year, waiting to be scrapbooked. Finally today I found the inspiration to get it done.
I used a cut file from Paper Issues and one of their June challenges - to keep everything on the bottom 1/3 of your layout.
I first smeared some clear and white gesso mix behind where my cut file would be. Then I used the packaging technique and just flicked some mist splatters on my page. Thanks for looking!
supplies
mist: Heidi Swapp Color Shine (Black Velvet; Tinsel); Studio Calico Mr Huey's (Shine)
gesso: Prima
patterned paper: Doodlebug

together.
My first page for June! I'm playing along this month's challenge at Off the Rails which is an ocean/sunshine/blues/greens moodboard.
My cut file inspired this page - it's free at Paper Issues! My photo is from a few weeks ago when we went to Key Largo.
I used some distress inks + the packaging technique behind my cut file. Then I added a bunch of Elle's Studio embellishments to my page. Thanks for looking!

ink: Tim Holtz distress inks (Broken China; Pine Needles; Evergreen Bough)

I've chosen two stamp sets to work with this month: Brave Girls and Frothy Concoctions. I realize these are supposed to be iced coffee drinks or some fancy frappuccino thing, but I don't drink those kinds of things. Plus, it's summer and I wanted to make a smoothie or an ice cream shake or something fun like that.
So I stamped my 'smoothies' and heat embossed them with yellow and orange embossing powders. Then I fussy cut them. I chose several yellow and orange distress inks and used the packaging technique to apply color to my smoothies.
I used the same technique on my card background, except that I added a pink ink. I couldn't resist. This color combo screams summer to me!

my favorite escape.
I'm playing along today with the May challenge at CSI. I was very inspired by the book in the mood board because I love to read. I decided to pull out some pictures from our last two vacations where I'm reading on the beach.
I wanted to use the Island Escape collection from Bella Blvd, but this patterned paper for my background was too blue and bold. I mixed some white and clear gesso together and smeared it all over the background. I mounted my photos on an orange patterned paper and tried to stick to the colors from the mood board - orange, pink, and yellow.
I adhered some Glitz decorative tape (super old but my favorite!) to the bottom to ground my whole page. Then I started adding embellishments using a visual triangle with the flowers, labels, circles, veneer pieces, and finally with the hearts.
Thanks for looking!

good times.
Earlier this month my mom went with my brother & his girlfriend to Florida and stayed a week. These pics were from a sunset one evening before they all headed out to dinner.
I used them to play along with Let's Get Sketchy May 15 sketch challenge. They often have single photo sketches, which have their time and place, but I often have more than one photo to scrap, so I loved this sketch. Thanks for looking!

patterned paper: Pink Paislee (Confetti Wishes); Elle's Studio
chipboard flamingo sticker: Crate Paper

let's go.
Hi friends! I'm sharing a layout I made using a free cut file from Paper Issues and their Take 5 May challenge. I'm using more than five items - orange, pink, flowers, patterned papers, stripes, and cardstock.
I dug into my stash for this one - airplane paper clips from Amy Tan, My Mind's Eye Palm Beach papers and stickers from Crate Paper Oasis.
When we went to Mexico in February, my aunt and uncle ended up booking a vacation the same exact week and we shared three of four flights together! This was not planned! It was such a coincidence that our flight attendant ended up buying drinks for all of us :)

mist: Shimmerz Coloringz (Keep Palm)
flair: The Crafty Pocket
patterned paper, stickers: My Mind's Eye (Palm Beach)

sun & fun.
I mentioned before that I'm putting together an 8.5x11 scrapbook for my brother & his girlfriend for Christmas. The two of them took my mom to Florida for a week this month so I have a few photos to scrapbook from their trip.
I was inspired by the sketch challenge at Rochelle's blog + you also have to use floral papers.
This is all the Bella Blvd Island Paradise collection + some pineapple from My Mind's Eye Palm Beach collection from last year. The title is a free cut file at Paper Issues. Thanks for looking!

love.
How many layouts have I titled simply 'love?' A lot.
So after the winter that seemed to be never ending, spring has finally sprung and my tree is blooming! The flowers never last long because we always get a big thunderstorm that knocks them all off. But while it's blooming it is absolutely beautiful and it smells lovely. I don't even know what kind of tree this is - a dogwood of some sort I believe?
So I'm playing along with Elle's Studio NSD challenge #1 to make a column of embellishments like one of my favorite scrappers, Melissa Mann, did. I used a lot of my April 2018 monthly kit from Elle's Studios + some of their 6x6 paper pads. This cut file is free at Paper Issues and one of their May challenge is to use one of their cut files. My focal picture is up on pop dots and if you look closely you can find a black and a chocolate Lab in the shade :)
Thanks for looking!

rescued & loved.
Guys, I love this cut file that I found in The Cut Shoppe. My dogs are both rescues, my brother's yellow Lab I rescued from a shelter for him, and my mom's chocolate Lab she "rescued" from a co-worker who no longer wanted him.
This is for challenge 1 at TCS for National Scrapbook Day - to back a cut file. I'm also playing along with the Spiegelmom Scraps NSD grab five challenge - stamps, sequins, flair, dies, and paper.

I travel light & my bags are packed.
10 points if you can name the song that line is from!
I'm playing along with the Spiegelmom Scraps NSD challenge to use a circle + sequins and I'm combining one of Elle's Studio NSD challenges to use mixed media.
This cut file is free at Paper Issues. One of their spring crop challenges is Name that Tune and ya'll know I love to use song lyrics on my pages anyway!
I used distress ink spritzed with water and the packaging technique with to add the "water" to my background. I should've kept going and added a little more, but I was eager to start gluing things down!
Thanks for looking! :)

all you need is love & a dog.
My aunt and uncle lost their Golden several months ago to old age. They applied to a rescue to adopt a two year old Golden who was dumped by her breeder when she was unable to get pregnant (don't even get me started...) but she was given to another couple. Shortly thereafter, they found this little Golden puppy, only seven weeks old.
I found this cut file from The Cut Shoppe and it just made me think of them. Of the love they have in their hearts and how they must feel whole again. If you're not a dog owner, you just don't get it :)
So I'm playing along with challenge 3 from TCS which is to use a large title with a cut file. I actually could have gone larger with this one I think, but I'm combining it with Paper Issue's challenge to scraplift Cassie. I chose THIS page.
Thanks for looking!

I love your love the most.
My friend Ali is hosting a sketch challenge for iNSD weekend. I'm coming in at the last minute because I've worked all week, but I love her sketch so I wanted to play.
The Cut Shoppe is having a sale this weekend and I bought a few new cut files. This heartbeat cut file is one of my absolute favorites! I cut it out of an ombre patterned paper from the Pick Me Up collection. Everything on my page is from Paige Evans' Pick Me Up collection - except the sequins and the puffy white heart stickers.
Ya'll know I love using song lyrics on my page. This song is by Eric Church, who is one of my favorite country singers.
