home [guest designing for Lasting Memories].

There's a new challenge this week at Lasting Memories and this one is inspired by the game Uno. For this challenge, you can only use one photo on your layout.

I scrapped a page for my nephew's album - coming home from the hospital! I love this Bella Besties heart patterned paper. I just layered a bunch of Elle's Studio tags behind my photo and called it a day! Thanks for looking:)

time for fun [guest designing for Lasting Memories].

I'm guest designing all month at Lasting Memories and this week's challenge is to use stars!

I used all Elle's Studio goodies on this page for my nephew. These fun water photos match my bright patterned papers perfectly! Thanks for looking :)

happy place [Challenge YOUrself #92].

Hi friends! Can you believe it's August and time for our next challenge at Challenge YOUrself?! This month we're scrapping about self care and for me, that's the beach. The sand soothes me, palm trees are my spirit animal, and the sun revitalizes my soul.

I used a Paige Evans cut file + Cocoa Vanilla Studio goodies. This photo is from a quick Florida trip we took in May. Thanks for looking!

Oakley [guest designing for Lasting Memories].

Heyyyyy! I'm excited to announce I'm guest designing at Lasting Memories this month! The theme this month is games and for this week's challenge we're using a Bingo board! I used the 'O' column.

This is Oakley, one of our semi-feral barn kittens. Such a cutie! Everything on this page is Bella Blvd. Thanks for looking!

happiness.

Here's another page that will probably go in my nephew's album. His first trip to the beach! Inspired by the 'wide open spaces' challenge at Paper Issues this month. I used all Heidi Swapp goodies on this one.

Thanks for looking!

love our time together [Challenge YOUrself #91].

Happy July! This month's challenge at Challenge YOUrself is to use shapes. I chose circles.

This gorgeous background paper is from Color Study by Vicki Boutin and that was my inspiration for this entire challenge. I love these bright, fun colors for this vacation page.

I accented with colorful embellishments from my stash. One of the new embellishments shops I found is a new Etsy shop called InnerCreativity Shop

first flight.

Playing along with another Paper Issues challenge this month - a scraplift!

I used one of the new mixed media sheets from Vicki Boutin (Color Story) and just some random stash papers to cut the strips. This will go in my nephew's album - nine months old and his first airplane ride!

Thanks for looking!

salt in the air. sand in my hair.

I've been on a roll here lately and I have another Paper Issues challenge done. This one was to scrap a friendship or a 'matey.' All the June challenges are pirate themed.

So I chose a pic from Florida last month. I used Vicki Boutin's Color Study for my background and then the rest of my page is random bits and pieces from my stash. I added some epoxy flair from Scrappin Happy Studio, some Doodlebug hearts,Simple Stories puffy sticker, and I even used a couple of stamps! Thanks for looking:)

2 years.

Here's another layout I made, inspired by one of the June challenges at Paper Issues. This challenge was to use bright colors. This Home Sweet Home collection from Doodlebug is pretty bright and cheery:)

This year we celebrated two years in our new home. I wanted to make a page to celebrate all of our accomplishments. Even though my list of things still yet to do is quite long, this was a good reminder of how far we have come!

sunshine in my soul.

This page was inspired by the June mood board challenge at Paper Issues. It was very oceany/travel themed and I saw some splashes of orange with the darker moody blues.

My FREE cut file here is also available at Paper Issues. This background is from the Vicki Boutin Color Study mixed media pad. I accented with some Scrappin Happy Studio epoxy flair + PinkFresh stickers. Thanks for looking!

love love love [Challenge YOUrself 90].

Hi friends! Today I'm back with challenge 90 at Challenge YOUrself. This month, we're using washi tapes.

I've never tried this technique before and I'm really not a huge washi user. I decided to back my cut file with some washi tapes.
My photos weren't the best quality (taken at an indoor wedding) so I made a photo collage out of them. Then I added some Jen Hatfield floral accents. Thanks for looking!

homemade [Growing in Unity week].

Happy Thursday GIU fans! Today's layout features the December 2014 SMAK kit. I love this kit for backgrounds.

I chose the messy heart stamp and used Barn Door distress ink to ink it. I spritzed my background paper with water prior to stamping my image. It's a very subtle effect, but it helps the ink blend and smudge a bit and makes the image not so crisp. If that's the look you're going for.

I still need to add my journaling. We finally got our front living room done and it's so beautiful and I love it. My husband worked so hard to get the flooring done quickly and it was his first flooring project so we are very pleased with how it turned out.

Thanks for coming by today!

M [Growing in Unity week]

Hello GIU friends!

The stamp set I used for the journal spot on this layout is so old... September 2008 Kit of the Month. I couldn't even find it on the Unity website to link it.

This is my nephew, and this page is going in his album, so I wanted a space where his mom or dad could write a little note. I used the fine black detail embossing powder again. I just love how shiny it is.

I also have this heart border stamp I used - I'm not even sure which kit it came from. I've had it so long and I really like the hearts. It's so versatile and I've used it on tons of pages.

 Thanks for looking!

my heart belongs in... [Growing in Unity week]

Hi everyone!

This layout was made using the February 2013 SMAK kit. Travel themes are one of my favorite and I wanted to show how they can be more versatile than just strictly vacations. These photos were just Snapchats taken while driving with my dogs.

For my "ticket," I used heat embossing with some fine detail black embossing powder. For my title, I stamped directly onto my background. I know, I know, that's so dangerous. Note: if you're using a slow drying ink, make sure you don't smear it!

Thanks for tuning in today!

ink: Ranger distress oxide (broken china)

The ocean is everything I want to be... [Growing in Unity week]

Hi Unity friends! Welcome to my Growing in Unity week!

I have some fun projects to share this week - I hope you enjoy them. Today's page is a beach page and those are probably my favorite memories to scrapbook. For this page, I used the January 2018 SMAK kit. I love love love this kit.

I chose one of the quotes to double as my 'title' for this page. I don't always have a title; I just don't think it's necessary. I used three different blue distress inks to color my stamp prior to stamping on my page. It gives it a very faint ombre look that I really like.

For my netting stamp, I used distress oxide ink. These inks are thicker and take longer to dry so it gave my netting sort of a water soaked look.

Thanks for visiting today!
