Paper Wings Productions: fly.

I'm so sorry for a late post! I've been working overtime and totally lost track of time and my assignments for Paper Wings Productions! I'm on the PWP blog today sharing this card.

I made today's card using Ken Oliver color bursts in red and orange. First I spritzed some water onto white cardstock. Then I just puffed the Color Bursts onto the card. They're powder so they literally will puff out and then mix with the water.

I stamped my sentiment using the With Wings red rubber cling stamp set. I knew I wanted to heat emboss the word 'fly' because it is in a different font and stands out. To do this,I mask off the part of the stamp I don't want to ink with some washi tape. Then I ink the stamp, remove the washi tape, and stamp the image.

Thanks for looking!

cheers!

Today I've got a birthday card I made for my aunt. My inspiration was the two Simon Says Stamp! challenges: anything goes & inspired by a song.

The base of my card was watercolored using three colors of distress inks. Then I heat embossed the large Unity background stamp with white fine detail embossing powder. I colored my drinks with Copic markers and fussy cut them. The sentiment is heat embossed with gold detail embossing powder.

On the inside, I stamped 'it's 5:00 somewhere' and 'birthday' with Versa Fine ink. I grabbed the gold detail embossing powder for 'happy.' This stamp set just makes me want to be on a beach listening to Jimmy Buffett with a frozen margarita.

Cheers!

Paper Wings Productions: choose to be happy.

Hello everyone! I'm sharing a card today for Paper Wings Productions that could be used for any occasion. I like to have a few of those in my stash that I can pull out at any time.

I used three different stamp sets on this card. The first two were Text Melange and Crowns. I knew I wanted to use this Stacked Hearts die so I cut out a piece of cardstock slightly larger than the die itself. Then I used stamps and heat embossing to cover the cardstock.

I heat embossed some of the text stamped images with gold fine detail embossing powder. For the crowns I used a white fine detail embossing powder and Black Magic embossing powder which is a black iridescent embossing powder.

I covered the cardstock with my heat embossed images in no particular order or pattern since I knew I was going to die cut the heart design from the cardstock.

I attached my die cut to the front of my card. I used a sentiment from Brave Girls red rubber stamp set and heat embossed it with the same fine detail white embossing powder.

Have you thought of using your stamps this way?

remember this.

I haven't had time to be crafty in weeks! Finally tonight is a night off work when my boyfriend is working and I had a chance to play with some new stuff.

I made a video earlier tonight of my haul from Scrapbook.com, Simon Says Stamp, and Elle's Studio and then I found this color challenge at ScrapMuch? that I combined with their sketch. I used the new Doodlebug Sweet Things collection with the newest Crate Paper Hello, Love collection die cuts. Then I added a bunch of things from my stash. Here's my page:

This is a picture I took of  Bella a couple of months ago and I just love it. She looks so sweet... but as the journaling says, sometimes she makes me so angry that I question why I ever adopted her. *sigh*
