We immediately made a To Do list & a lot has been marked off, but there are still a bajillion projects to do. We are moving through the list as money allows, prioritizing, & slowly making pnrogress.
- We added storage to the bathroom.
- Ordered new shades for the living room.
- Added closet/clothes storage to our bedroom.
- Switched to DirecTv.
- Ordered new windows for the dining room & two bedrooms.
- Painted the dining room.
- & turned it into an office instead.
- Then switched out the lighting for $10.
- Added more clothes/storage for us via a Craigslist Ikea wardrobe for $200.
- Switched out the lighting in our "new" dining room for $20.
- Removed the hall tree & replaced it with a slimmer, cleaner looking wall hook rack instead.
- Got the mantle installed & entryway done.
- Replaced the dining room rug, which then had to be replaced again.
- have 3 new living room windows coming
- had the exterminator come
- installed a fence around our "backyard"
- got wireless internet hooked up
- purchased bar stools for the kitchen/island/eat in area
- fixed the two back closets (one for the vacuum/cleaning & one for my clothes)
- got a mailbox
- got trash service
- built a storage unit downstairs so we no longer pay $40/month for a storage unit & have to drive 2 miles to get our stuff out of storage when we need it
- hung up new smoke detectors
- got the roof fixed where it had leaked in the dining room/office & second bedroom
- replaced the dryer vent so no birds could nest in there
- fixed/organized the area under the stairs for storage
- cleaned & sealed the floors in the bathroom
- polyurethaned the wood floors in the living room, dining room, & the office
- put my bed into storage & bought a queen size bed frame for $20 at a garage sale - still looking for headboard ideas, but my sleigh bed was just TOO big for the room
- & most recently, we dug up all of the landscaping that we did last year, & put paver's down instead. (I will share that soon!)
