Paper Wings Productions November blog hop: home decor

WELCOME to the Paper Wing Productions Design Team Blog Hop & Giveaway! If you've arrived here from Larissa, then you're in the right place.
Now that Halloween is over, we start thinking about the holidays. What holidays do you and your family celebrate? One way to make the holidays special is to create your own decorations and greetings. Our design team has come up with projects with the theme “home for the holidays.” We hope you will hop through the projects and find inspiration for your own holiday projects. If you complete the hop, you will be eligible to win an awesome prize!
The prize is a $25.00 gift certificate to the Paper Wings Productions online store.
For a chance to win all you need to do is:
  • be a follower of the Paper Wings Productions blog
  • visit each of the participating designer's blogs and leave a comment
  • come back and leave us a comment on the pwp blog telling us you completed the hop.
To increase your chances of winning: like our Facebook page and/or invite your friends to the hop. Be sure to leave a separate comment for each of your additional entries. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 on the Paper Wings Productions blog.

Here's more about my project:

For my banner, I started with the Art Textures stamp set. I wanted to create some background interest and dimension. I used a super thick embossing powder with the textured stamp.

Next I chose some word phrases and an image from the mix it up stamp set series. I stamped some of words with Memento ink and others I heat embossed. Again, I was just trying to create some interest for the background.

I cut the word 'home' with my Cricut Stamped cartridge and attached them to my banner. To link it all together, I found some twine that I thought really drove home my fall theme.

For my wooden embroidery hoop, I used the same patterned paper that I had used for the word 'home' in my banner. I wanted to create a simple message around the pumpkin from the Fall Mix it Up stamp set. I chose 'laughter & love' from the Winter Mix It Up stamp set + 'from our home to yours' from the Holiday Mix it Up stamp set. I heat embossed everything with a fine black detail embossing powder.

Have you ever used your stamps to make home decor?

Next, head over to Dana's blog!
