love you.

This cut file is one of my favorites. I want to make shakers out of the hearts over and over again. Luckily for me, I have the coordinating sequin mix from Spiegelmom Scraps for this new Cocoa Vanilla Studio collection.

I turned the top heart into a shaker. The bottom heart I decided to cut the photo to fit. It's not the best photo - it's dark - but it's my brother lying on the floor with his dog, Vanilla, and it's really sweet. I'm making him and his girlfriend a scrapbook for Christmas this year so this page is for their album.

This page is made for one of the scraplift challenges this month at Paper Issues. Here's the original:

November Scrap Our Stash Golden Globe challenge.

While I didn't choose paper with stars, I did find some embellishments with stars in my stash. One of the sequin mixes I chose (In the New Year) has little tiny gold stars, as well as, larger gold stars. I also pulled three black acrylic stars from my stash.

I used my typewriter to include the quote on a label die cut from Elle's Studio. I made a shaker house out of the 'home sweet home' house cut file.

family.

I got the new Cocoa Vanilla Studio collection this week and I was dying to use it! This is the second page I've made today. This one is inspired by this month's sketch at Let's Get Sketchy.

This summer I asked Paper Issues to make some wedding cut files for me to use to scrap our wedding and this is one! The CVS papers are super thick so I actually cut this one with the 'coverstock' setting. I may try using this setting on some other of the more intricate cut files I have because my Silhouette seems to struggle with anything intricate.

Also, I'm not sure if this was intentional or if ya'll are aware, but the Pick Your Plum sequin mix from Spiegelmom Scraps matches this collection perfectly! So of course I had to make a little shaker for this page. Not affiliated in any way - just wanted to share! :)

our vows.

Do you ever have an idea in your mind and you get to make it actually work?! That's what happened here!

I wanted to turn our vows into a cut file. I had no idea if this would work, but this is what I did. I typed our vows in a Word document, then took a screen shot. I opened that file up in Paint, cropped it, and saved it as a .png file. Then I opened that in my Silhouette and cut it out.

It actually took two tries and I had to adjust my cutting settings. I don't love this font, but the scripty font I wanted to use was too delicate. Overall, I'm super excited that I got this to work because I really wanted to include our vows in our scrapbook.

I was making this page to for the November 'winged things' challenge at Paper Issues so I added the butterflies. I found that I actually have a few stickers that are birds and butterflies and I probably will not use any of them.

happy.

I struggled with these Halloween photos of my cousin's kids because of the pink that Zoe is wearing and how non-traditional these Halloween photos are. When I got past the idea that I had to use Halloween themed items, this page came together quickly.

I used inspiration from the cut file challenge at The Studio Challenges this month.

October Scrap Our Stash Blend a Sketch challenge.

Today I'm on the Scrap Our Stash blog sharing my take on this month's blend a sketch challenge.

I printed two photos of our mini-moon trip to Chicago. We went to a Cubs game... and they lost.

I used the background design from the left sketch with the striped paper covering 2/3 of my page. Then I layered, used title placement, and vertical 4x6 photos like the sketch on the right.

LOVE

This amazing cut file was FREE at The Cut Shoppe this month and I think it's adorable! My Silhouette had a little trouble cutting this delicate cut file and I only wanted to use the 'love' anyway. This page will go in the album I'm making for my brother and his girlfriend for Christmas.

beautiful [Die Cuttin' Divas].

I'm guest designing at Die Cuttin' Divas today! This week's theme is FOOD.

I chose to make a shaker cupcake using a cut file from Paige Evans. I use my Fuse tool and cut up page protectors to form my shakers.
I have tons of wedding themed goodies, as well as just pinks and greys and blacks, pulled from my stash and stored in a large tote for now. I figure I'll be scrapping lots of wedding stuff for the next few months :)
This is making me crave cupcakes. How about you?

good times.

I got an order from Paper Issues today that had the Pink Paislee Auburn Lane collection in it. Not the whole collection, just a few pieces of the patterned papers that I liked. I thought they would be good for documenting some wedding photos :) I started with this striped paper for my background because one of the Paper Issues challenges this month is to use striped paper.

I'm playing along with the Scrappy Friends challenge this month, which includes Stacy's song challenge and Rochelle's sketch challenge. I always try to play along with Stacy's song challenge because I LOVE using songs and lyrics on my pages and I don't know of any other challenges like hers. The song this month is Trace Adkin's You're Gonna Miss This and I chose the line "these are some good times." I thought this Elle's Studio gold piece I've had in my stash for a while was the perfect fit.

I found that black and white striped chipboard frame on my Crate Paper sheet and wanted to make a shaker with it. A few sequins later and it was done!

These flair are from a new Etsy shop I found called Scrappin' Happy Studio. Super cute stuff! They're thin and flat backed so I really like them. [I'm not affiliated; I just like them :)]

LOVE.

I know I can't name every wedding layout "love," but I'm having a hard time coming up with anything more creative!
So a while back I asked Cassie about Paper Issues getting some wedding cut files for me to scrap some wedding pics. Today I got an email from her saying they were in the PI shop. Seriously... MADE MY DAY. I immediately purchased, cut, and got to work.

My Silhouette didn't do so great at cutting out the little heart "light" in the middle of the bulb so I had to just snip them off.

I made a shaker card out of one of the project life cards in the Bliss package from my Mind's Eye.

This is one of my favorite photos from the ceremony. Because of the wide angle, you can see Bentley resting quietly to the right. I printed it 5x7 and then cropped out some of the sides so it ends up being about 4.75" x 4.75" and I love that it shows the rafters and the lighting.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

October Scrap Our Stash Golden Globe challenge.

Hi SOS friends! I'm not quite ready to let go of summer yet, as you can tell by my page. This month our Golden Globe inspiration is the movie SING and you also need to use rhinestones or bling on your page.

I printed off this photo from a Kenny Chesney concert I went to earlier this year. I thought "sing" was a perfect representation of what I did all night.

I used the December 2017 Hip Kit Club kit on this page + some Spiegelmom Scraps sequins and some old Studio Calico rhinestones from my stash.
You can see more on the SOS blog. Thanks for looking!

and Challenge YOUrself featured this page as a top 3 design team favorite!
Thank you so much!

together.

One of my cousins got engaged this year and I took one of her engagement photos off of Facebook to scrapbook.

I don't know how I never knew about the My Mind's Eye Bliss collection! I just saw a haul video on You Tube last week where someone was sharing the chipboard stickers and I had a moment. Like I just got married.... I need this line. It's so pretty and perfect. So I immediately ordered some stuff from A Cherry on Top.

This page is based on the October sketch from Paper Issues. I love a good grid design :)

I've had that pink heart paper in my stash forever. Finally found a good layout for it :)
